Design

With many of my Just Gorgeous designs, I develop motifs which are inspired by the beautiful New Zealand koru. The koru is a Maori motif depicting the emerging, unfurled fronds of our iconic silver fern. The Maori believe the koru symbolises new beginnings, growth and harmony.

I am also inspired by the kowhaiwhai patterns developed using symmetrical, repetitions of the koru, which are painted onto wood and used as the ceiling panels for Maori meeting houses.

My collection also features some designs inspired by native New Zealand flora. The silver fern heart necklace is designed around one of New Zealand enduring, internationally recognised symbols, the silver fern (Cyathea dealibata). My Pohutukawa necklace is inspired by this famous, flowering tree, known to kiwis as the New Zealand Christmas tree (Metrosideros excels).

Just Gorgeous

Just Gorgeous jewellery was named by my customers. Often their first comment when they first saw my jewellery was "that’s just gorgeous".

From humble beginnings as a market retailer in 2009, my Just Gorgeous jewellery is starting to be recognised around New Zealand. I have now developed an extensive designer collection. Just Gorgeous has moved from selling in the festival and event environment into supplying a select number of quality retail galleries

that better reflect the quality of my jewellery. We are currently expanding to supply with a limited number of quality stockists, with beautiful stores, to make Just Gorgeous more available to you.

You will always know whether you are purchasing authentic Just Gorgeous jewellery by the unique "Just Gorgeous New Zealand" logo charm which finishes my necklaces and link bracelets. Not only does this lovely charm provide a decorative finish to extender chains, it is also appreciated by overseas and ex-patriot customers, as it identifies Just Gorgeous jewellery’s New Zealand origins.

Our new quality presentation box reflects the quality and style of the Just Gorgeous jewellery and is available exclusively through Just Gorgeous select stockists. This lovely white, satin finished box, features the Just Gorgeous New Zealand logo in grey, and is lined with white velveteen making it the perfect gift packaging for my jewellery.
