My Just Gorgeous Kiwiana Collection comprises beautiful pieces which are an elegant interpretation of
New Zealand symbols and flowers in sophisticated and contemporary designs. I create beautiful pieces
that draw attention, are individual and reflect our kiwi culture, while remaining feminine and fashionable.

For my Kiwiana Collection, I develop motifs which are inspired by the beautiful New Zealand koru.
The koru is a Maori motif depicting the emerging, unfurled fronds of our iconic silver fern. The Maori
believe the koru symbolises new beginnings, growth and harmony.

I am also inspired by the kowhaiwhai patterns developed using symmetrical, repetitions of the koru,
which are painted onto wood and used as the ceiling panels for Maori meeting houses.

My collection also features designs inspired by native New Zealand flora. The silver fern heart
necklace is designed around one of New Zealand enduring, internationally recognised symbols,
the silver fern (Cyathea dealibata). My Pohutukawa necklace is inspired by this famous, flowering
tree, known to kiwis as the New Zealand Christmas tree (Metrosideros excels). My latest Kiwiana
pieces, the Manuka Flower pendant, Kowhai Flower pendant and Kowhai Flower fan necklace reflect
my love for the New Zealand bush and our unique native flora.

Not only does this lovely charm provide a decorative finish to extender chains, it is also appreciated by overseas and ex-patriot customers, as it identifies Just Gorgeous jewellery's New Zealand origins.
My Just Gorgeous Kiwiana Collection comes packaged in our grey on white Just Gorgeous organza pouch. When purchasing from one of our select stockists, you can also request the inclusion of our description card which explains the New Zealand motif or flora used in the design.

This lovely white, satin finished box, features the Just Gorgeous New Zealand logo in grey, and is lined with white velveteen making it the perfect gift packaging for my jewellery.

Fiona Ritchie, Designer

New Zealand jewellery designer Fiona Ritchie designs all Just Gorgeous jewellery in her Auckland studio. Kiwiana designs feature NZ trees, plants and flowers (flora - pohutukawa, kowhai, Manuka, silver fern, puka leaf), and Maori and Pacific Island motifs including the koru, kowhaiwhai and Pasifika tapa pattern. Retro Collection designs are inspired by artist including Art Deco period, silent film movie costumes and funky fabrics & patterns of the 1920, 1930, 1940, 1950 & 1960's.

Just Gorgeous is funky or feminine, or elegant ladies or women's costume and fashion jewellery with necklace, earrings, bracelet, hairclip, and brooch styles and new collections each season. We have quality gallery stockists with stores in the North Island and South Island. Enamel jewellery is nickel free & lead free, often with rhinestones, colours include black, white, red, turquoise blue (reflecting paua tones and the ocean), olive green, purple, pink, black and brown in silver and bronze finishes.
